The Spring Forward Race is the perfect run for those training for the Lincoln Marathon or Half Marathon. The 10 Mile, 5K and 1 Mile races begin at Antelope Park.
The 10-mile route challenges you by taking you along Normal Boulevard where you turn right onto Myrtle Street and proceed to 56th Street, then south on 56th Street to Calvert Street. You’ll take Calvert street west until you reach the Rock Island Trail, which you’ll jump on and head south to the turnaround at Old Cheney. From there it will be a straight shot on the scenic Rock Island Trail to the finish line.
The 5K will Start/Finish on A Street running to Normal where runners take a right onto Normal Blvd, turn right onto S. Cotner Blvd to the Billy Wolff trail and take Billy Wolff to A Street turn left to the Finish line.
The 1-mile run/walk and will start in the same location as the other two distances. The 1-milers run on A Street turning right into Antelope Park, then onto Memorial Drive making a slight left onto Rock Island Trail, taking a left on A Street back to the start/finish line.
